Start Here: One Visit or a Plan
Almost every pest control quote in Fort Myers comes down to this one choice, and it is the source of most of the confusion homeowners run into when comparing companies.
A one-time visit runs $120 to $180. Most homes land between $120 and $150. Bigger houses and heavier infestations run toward the top. That single visit carries a 30-day guarantee on the pest we treated, and nothing longer. If the problem comes back in week six, that is a new visit.
A quarterly plan starts at $75 per visit for general pest control. Four visits a year, and we re-treat free between visits if you see activity. The per-visit cost is lower because the barrier never fully lapses, so each visit is maintenance rather than a fresh start.
The math matters here. A single $120 visit twice a year costs more than a full year of quarterly service at $75 a visit, and the quarterly customer is covered for all twelve months instead of two. That is why most Fort Myers homeowners end up on a plan even when they call about one specific problem.
General Pest Control
A standard general pest control treatment covers ants, spiders, roaches including palmetto bugs, silverfish, and other common household pests. It includes an exterior perimeter spray, interior crack-and-crevice treatment, de-webbing of eaves and windows, and granular bait around the foundation.
On a quarterly plan this starts at $75 per visit for a typical Fort Myers home. Larger homes, properties with heavy landscaping, and houses with a lanai and pool cage sit higher in the range because there is simply more square footage of entry point to treat. As a single visit with no plan, expect $120 to $180.

German Cockroach Treatment: $249 to $599
German cockroaches are the one infestation that will not respond to a standard visit. Treatment means gel bait in every crack and crevice, an insect growth regulator to stop the next generation, and a follow-up two to three weeks later to catch nymphs hatching from egg cases that survived the first round.
A kitchen-only infestation caught early runs $249 to $349. One that has spread into bathrooms and laundry areas runs $449 to $599, because it takes more product, more placements, and more visits. Rodent Control: $299 to $599
Rodent control costs more than insect work because it is two jobs, not one. Trapping removes the animals already inside. Exclusion seals the gaps so the next ones cannot follow. Skip the exclusion and you are paying for trapping again in six months.
Roof rats are the common culprit in Fort Myers, and they get in through gaps around plumbing penetrations, soffit vents, and roof-to-wall junctions. Exclusion is the variable that drives the price: a house with three entry points is a different job from one with fifteen. Attic contamination and soiled insulation add to it.
Fire Ant Treatment: $95 to $179
Individual mound treatment covers direct injection plus a bait ring around each mound. For yards with repeat activity, a yard-wide broadcast gives three to six months of protection and works out cheaper than chasing mounds one at a time.
Price moves with lot size and mound count, not with how angry the ants are. Southwest Florida sandy soil and mild winters mean fire ants never really go dormant, so many of our customers fold fire ant treatment into a quarterly plan rather than calling each time a new mound appears.
Mosquito Treatment: $89 to $199
Monthly barrier spray treatment starts at $89 for a standard residential lot. Waterfront homes and properties with dense vegetation or significant standing water run toward $199, because there is more surface area where mosquitoes rest and more breeding habitat to larvicide.

Bed Bug Treatment: $299 to $799
Bed bug work is priced by how far the infestation has spread, not by the size of the house. A single room caught early starts at $299. Whole-home treatment runs to $799.
Expect two to three visits over four to six weeks. No residual product kills eggs, and eggs hatch six to ten days out, so the follow-up visit is not an upsell. It is the visit that catches the generation the first treatment could not reach. Any company quoting you a guaranteed one-visit fix is telling you what you want to hear.
What Actually Moves Your Price
Five things, in rough order of how much they matter:
- Pest type: The single biggest factor. A general pest visit and a roof rat exclusion are not the same job and are not priced anywhere near each other.
- Severity: An ant trail by the kitchen sink is a quick fix. A German roach population living in the wall voids is a multi-visit program.
- Home size: A 1,200 square foot condo has far less perimeter to treat than a 4,000 square foot home with a lanai and pool cage.
- Frequency: One visit costs more per visit than a plan, because each standalone visit includes a full fresh assessment.
- Property conditions: Heavy mulch beds against the foundation, dense landscaping, standing water features, and unsealed structural gaps all add time and product.
How to Read a Quote
Get at least two quotes. A company worth hiring will inspect the property free, tell you what they actually found, and put a price in writing before anything gets sprayed.
Three things should make you slow down. A firm price quoted over the phone before anyone has seen your home is a guess, and guesses get revised upward on the day. A long-term contract pushed on the first visit is a company protecting itself against your dissatisfaction. And a guarantee with no stated length is not a guarantee, so ask how many days, in writing.

A real one takes twenty to forty minutes and covers the interior, the full exterior perimeter, and the attic access if rodents are suspected. You should get told the species, where they are entering, and which conditions on the property are feeding the problem, before anyone mentions a number. If the inspection takes five minutes and ends with a price, what you received was a sales call.
