Why Bed Bugs Are a Problem

Bed bugs are one of the most psychologically distressing pest infestations. They disrupt sleep, cause skin reactions, and spread rapidly between rooms and units in multi-family buildings. Early treatment is far less disruptive and expensive than a whole-building infestation.

How We Treat Bed Bugs

We use a combination of targeted insecticide (including growth regulators that prevent eggs from hatching) and steam treatment for mattresses and furniture. A follow-up inspection at 14 days confirms elimination. We provide detailed prep instructions before treatment.

Every treatment plan is tailored to your property and pest pressure. Jason does a full assessment before recommending an approach.

Bed Bugs Questions, Answered

Bed bugs travel on used furniture, clothing, boxes from storage, and even on guests who visited infested locations. In Southwest Florida, vacation rental turnover and high tourism volume create more transmission opportunities than in most parts of the country. You do not need to travel to pick them up.
Consumer sprays kill exposed adults on contact but cannot reach eggs, which are glued into seams and crevices. Without an insect growth regulator that prevents eggs from hatching, the population rebounds within 6 to 8 weeks. Professional treatment uses multiple products targeting every life stage.
Usually no. We treat mattresses directly with steam and targeted insecticide. Mattress encasements installed after treatment trap any surviving insects and prevent re-entry. Throwing away a mattress without treating the rest of the room moves the problem, not solves it.
Most treatments require you to stay out of the room for 4 hours while products dry. We provide specific prep and re-entry instructions before treatment. We follow up at 14 days to confirm elimination, and re-treat any surviving populations at no charge.
